Phnom Penh Stopover - Modern capital city of Cambodia

Phnom Penh, the city is a favorite stopover for tourists. And its economy is booming in this 21st century. A ‘Pearl city’ in Asia back in 1960s. In remember of Pol Pot regime, even though, Cambodia turned into a blood-and-guts era from 1975 to 1979.

Phnom Penh is rapidly developing zone of the country since Khmer Rouge finished in 1998 – its economy keep rising up. So it’s worth visiting this beautiful Cambodia.

Day 1

Arrive to Phnom Penh International Airport, our team will meet and greet the clients, then transfer to the hotel for check in and give some information about your trip in Cambodia. If time permits, visit the city tour acquaints us with some major sights of Phnom Penh. The private quarters of the Royal Palace are now home to the royal family and are therefore very close to the public. At the northern area of the palace grounds is Silver Pagoda, the most sacred temple in the country. The sightseeing completes with a walk uphill to visit the legendary Wat Phnom and catch a fantastic view over the surrounding areas.

Day 2

The sightseeing tour of Phnom Penh begins with the National Museum, which is exclusively dedicated to Khmer art and sculpture. The majority of the exhibits are from the Angkor period from 9th to 15th century, but some date from as early as the 4th century. We continue to one of the city lively open markets, Psar Toul Tom Pong called the Russian Market, where anything and everything is for sales! The Tuol Sleng Prison Museum and the notorious “Killing Fields”of Choeung Ek are not to be missed. A visit to these sights provides a deep insight into the painful bloody rule of the Khmer Rouge. In the evening is an ideal way of spending your last evening in Cambodia is to relax in a cafe by the riverfront.

Free and leilure until our driver come to the hotel to pick you up and transfer for your departure flight.
